Multilingual Hotline Service for Women Affected by the Disaster

In place of the government-sponsored hotline service that ended in the end of March, NGOs have started to provide a 24-hours multilingual hotline service for women affected by the Tohoku and Kanto Earthquake.

(24-hours, free of charge)

●Languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Tagalog, Thai, and Portuguese.
●The hotline covers issues like: problems with living in shelters, health, domestic violence, sexual assault, parenting, legal issues, labor.
●This hotline service is co-managed by the National Women's Shelter Network and Japan Federation of Bar Association.
